Accessible Yoga

Yoga for those with Limited Mobility

Chair-based yoga has become a specialism of mine and is a form of yoga I love to teach. Having trained many years ago with Elma Toland, senior tutor with Yoga Therapy Ireland and a wonderful yoga therapist with a gift for inclusion and accessibility, I began by holding classes in the community. I now concentrate on running bespoke chair-based yoga programmes for community organisations and groups including Lisburn Downtown Centre, VAST, and Benmore Fold Housing Scheme.

Benefits of Chair-Based Accessible Yoga

Chair-based accessible yoga is perfect for those who have limited mobility; don’t find it easy to get up and down from the floor any more; those who are recovering from injury; or who perhaps have additional needs, where chair-based activities are more welcoming and inclusive. Get in touch if you think your group could benefit from a bespoke programme for your members.

I also offer trauma informed yoga and have been teaching regular programmes for VAST, Victims and Survivors Trust, since 2017.
